Lovebirds
The wife and I visited Jurong Bird Park on the last trip to Singapore.
There was that lone bird perched outside the small birdhouse that caught my attention. I started taking pictures even before I checked what kind of bird it was.
Then out popped the head of its parter, as if to say hello. The first bird gave the second a little peck on the beak.
Turns out the two were lovebirds.
Clearly, they're called lovebirds for a reason.
Granted, they're just behaving according to their nature. But it's still pretty sweet, and makes me think that human beings can learn a thing or two from them about showing affection towards loved ones.
Which is a timely and appropriate sentiment, today being Valentine's day and all.
