Flight Operations

How I wish I had a Fisheye lens when I took this photo. But it's close enough.

AS350

Taken during our school's last Foundation Day. It's a Eurocopter AS350.

I tried to frame the picture such that the school's logo (on the building) was visible in the background. I figured it would make a good promotional picture. After all, how many schools can say that a helicopter landed on its football field?

Speaking of which, the helicopter landing is by and large the number one thing that students remember from the Foundation Day. Go figure.

Lovebirds

The wife and I visited Jurong Bird Park on the last trip to Singapore.

There was that lone bird perched outside the small birdhouse that caught my attention. I started taking pictures even before I checked what kind of bird it was.

Then out popped the head of its parter, as if to say hello. The first bird gave the second a little peck on the beak.

Turns out the two were lovebirds.

Clearly, they're called lovebirds for a reason.

Granted, they're just behaving according to their nature. But it's still pretty sweet, and makes me think that human beings can learn a thing or two from them about showing affection towards loved ones.

Which is a timely and appropriate sentiment, today being Valentine's day and all.

Missing Something

I've used this photo in a presentation or two, although nobody quite notices the cable that seems to be missing.

Not sure whether I used a polarizing filter on my lens, but the blue of the sky sure is striking.

A Gloomy Day at Disneyland

During last October's trip to Hong Kong, the wife and I decided to pay a visit to Disneyland.

Sure, it was a gloomy day. But the place still worked its magic -- starting with the awesome fountain at the entrance.

(I'm pretty sure I have an older picture of this fountain from a previous trip in another camera. And I do hope we get to go back again in the future , on a day with better weather.)

Overloaded?

Yes, I took this picture (with great care!) while driving.

Look, if you saw something like that, you'd probably do the same, right?

I mean...just look at that thing!
